From October 16th to 18th, 2024, the 5th China New Materials Industry Development Conference was successfully held at the China Car Valley International Sports and Cultural Exchange Center in Wuhan, Hubei Province.
Guangdong Hangxin Technology Co., Ltd.(Hangxin Technology) was invited by Professor Ding Guqiao, Chief Scientist at Zhongke Yueda (Shanghai) Material Technology Co., Ltd., and a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to participate in the "CY-43 Graphene New Material Technology and Application Sub-Forum". Hangxin's Chief Engineer, Lin Liangqin, and Deputy Chief Engineer, Zhao Junliang, along with their team, delivered a keynote on the application and development of full resource utilization of graphene oxide waste sulfuric acid solution.

The conference was jointly organized by the Chinese Materials Research Society and the Management Committee of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, and co-organized by the China (C-MRS) New Materials Industry Association, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and the China (C-MRS) New Materials Strategic Research Institute. Nearly 8,000 participants from around the world, including academicians, experts, scholars and investment professionals in the new materials field, attended the event. The conference focused on the theme "Innovation Fuels Growth, Applications Shape the Future—Breakthrough Development of the New Materials Industry Chain", aligning with the goal of becoming a technological country by 2035, addressing major national demands and significant breakthroughs in key materials during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. Nearly 80 sub-forums or forums were set up, covering seven major categories: key basic materials, key energy materials, key information materials, biomedical materials, health and comfort materials, environmental engineering materials, and safety engineering materials.

As part of the conference, the "CY-43 Graphene New Material Technology and Application Sub-Forum",aimed to focus on the latest technological achievements in graphene new materials and their wide-ranging applications, gathering top experts, scholars, and industry leaders from across the country to discuss frontier developments and future trends in the graphene field. This collaboration seeks to explore new concepts, new directions, new fields, and new growth points for the construction of new productive forces and accelerate the realization of the grand strategic goal of becoming a technological country.
At the meeting, Lin Liangqin, the Chief Engineer of Hangxin Technology, delivered a keynote report representing the company, discussing various aspects of the application and development of full resource utilization of graphene oxide waste sulfuric acid solution. The report pointed out that the technology for the full resource utilization of graphene oxide waste sulfuric acid solution can not only effectively recover sulfuric acid from the waste solution for reuse in graphene oxide production but also efficiently separate potassium and manganese salts to produce potassium sulfate and high-purity manganese carbonate, significantly reducing production costs while generating no waste during the process. This fills a gap in the full resource utilization process for the treatment of graphene oxide waste sulfuric acid solution, supporting the green, environmentally friendly, and high-quality development of the graphene oxide industry. The report received enthusiastic responses and high attention from experts, scholars, and enterprises in the industry.
